Rejuvenation And Wellness, sometimes known as RAW…

was designed from my own health journey. As a busy mom myself, I was constantly trying to navigate my kids’ changing palates and dietary restrictions, my husband’s health challenges, all the while working full-time and trying to make it to the gym just so I could “maintain my chunkiness.”

Through my own health journey, I’ve cracked the code on:

  • Feeling good about myself

  • Using food as medicine, rather than traditional medicine

  • Regaining my active lifestyle

  • Looking younger as I grow older

Been there…done that…

I’ve been where you are. Part of the so-called “sandwich generation,” caught between raising children, raising parents and taking care of a hubby all while working full time. It wasn’t easy and I can’t say that I was very good at it. As a family, we did what most families did. We grabbed food running out the door, we ate out, we bought “healthy” frozen dinners. We ate the way doctors, magazines and news shows told us to eat - lots of animal protein, dairy and fat-free, processed food. Yet we kept getting more sick.

In my late 40s, I was diagnosed with arthritis of the knees. I suffered migraines regularly. I had GERD and acid reflux. I was bloated all the time. My blood pressure skyrocketed to 145/80. And even though I worked out All. THE. TIME. I was chronically overweight and out of shape.

Doctors weren’t curing us; they were satiating us. They prescribed medicines to us that didn’t actually heal what we suffered from, instead just keeping it at bay. I was miserable and simultaneously made my family miserable.

I didn’t know how, but I knew that something had to change!

I had my “A-Ha” moment New Years 2012 at 53 years old. The Paleo Diet was at the height of its popularity. . . eat like your ancestors - food that was hunted or harvested, and NO processed food. I gave it a shot, gave up all processed foods and low and behold in just three short days, I finally slept through the night pain-free for the first time in years! I didn’t understand why but I knew I was on to something.

Eating animal protein was not for me. I started to do my own research and became my own science experiment. Through it, I became healthier and happier than I had been in years. I felt so good! I was pain-free, energized, clear and focused. I lost weight and inches. My blood pressure was down to 112/70, I became certified as a RAW Food Chef and started to blog about my journey.

Since then, I went back to school, became certified as a Nutrition Health Coach. I follow a Whole-Food Plant-Based Lifestyle and am a Certified Vegan RX Chef. I have helped so many women achieve their own health and wellness goals.

At 61, I’ve never felt better and am on a mission to enable others to feel this great as well.
