Finally Took A Decent Photo!!!
Doesn’t this photo look luscious??? It does to me! And it tasted just as scrumptious when I was eating it for lunch the other day.
I went to my local Farmers Market this weekend and stocked up on a lot of fruits and vegetables and by the time I got home, I was starving. Instead of eating what I thought I “should” eat, which is usually a huge salad, I did something really unusual for me . . . I “listened” to my body to tell me what it wanted. Actually, I “listened” to my cravings which were telling me what my body actually needed. On this day, my body was craving “sweet”. So I decided to make a fruit salad instead. However, I didn’t want it so sweet that my teeth would hurt. So I added sliced, cool cucumber for some savory, sodium-rich flavors. I also decided to grate some ginger over the top to add a kick of spicy heat into the mix! Voile! Farmer’s Market Fruit Salad was born!
What I put in my Farmers Market Fresh Fruit Salad
Fresh Strawberries sliced
Grated Fresh Ginger
Arrange and scoff down! Or eat gingerly, I scoffed!
