Look At That GORGEOUS Color↑↑↑!!!!!
Autumn is here, there’s a chill in the air and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I’m not sure if it’s all the Thanksgiving recipes that I’ve been eyeing lately, but I’ve been craving root vegetables . . . juiced! I’ve been looking at photos of root vegetables in soups, in casseroles, roasted, broasted, sauteed, in pies, as sides . . . you name it . . . I want it!
But I digress. Back to the beginning . . . I was craving root veggies and I was craving juice. So I came up with this recipe using only ingredients that I had in the house. Now, keep in mind — I realize you probably don’t have all that I have or you may want different flavors. This is what I was in the mood for at that moment.
Carrot Beet Juice
4 Carrots scrubbed (I cut bottoms and top off. If carrots are large, use 3. If they’re small to medium use 4)
1/2 large beet peeled
1 knob ginger peeled
1 knob tumeric peeled
1 large granny smith apple
Juice ingredients and enjoy!!!!!
** Fresh tumeric (when I can find it at my farmers market) and ginger are staples at my house. I always add them to my smoothies for their health benefits and “bite” it gives to my smoothies. They juice wonderfully and I enjoy the added flavor/kick they bring to the recipe. You do not have use those ingredients if you don’t have them or don’t want them. This is what tumeric and ginger look like . . .
This juice was delicious!!! Don’t be afraid to play around with your vegetables and try something new. Together, they all complimented each other and the flavor was amazing!
